Walking the Path of Stillness

Welcome to this sacred space. Take a deep, gentle breath, let your shoulders drop, and allow yourself to arrive fully in this present moment. Today, I want to share a deeply personal chapter of my spiritual healing journey with you—a story of a raw cry for help, a sacred ancestral legacy, and the beautiful way the universe mirrors our inner growth when the timing is perfectly ripe.

Walking the Path of Stillness

The Awakening and the Cry for Peace

The Awakening and the Cry for Peace

Eight years ago, my life underwent a profound shift. Following an intense spiritual awakening, my old world fell away, and I found myself in a state of deep, raw vulnerability. I was crying out for help, desperately seeking a deep, lasting inner peace that I could not find in the physical world around me.

In that pivotal moment of absolute surrender, I knelt in prayer. I didn't pray to a distant concept; I called upon the spirit of my late grandfather. In our family, my grandfather was a revered spiritual healer. During his lifetime, he never sat us down to give formal lectures or decode secret manuscripts. Instead, he led his family by pure, quiet example. He lived his spirituality through his daily actions, his peaceful presence, and his healing hands.

What happened after that prayer is a history written entirely by the spiritual realms. This mystical unfolding is beautiful, sacred, and often difficult to explain using the limited language of the physical world. One by one, from 2018 through the present year of 2026, the ancient heritage of Javanism—known as Kejawen—and its formal teachings found their way back to me through various unexpected, divinely guided sources. My grandfather's unwritten legacy was alive, and it had chosen me to carry the torch.

A Sanctuary of Silence in the Worldly Realms

A Sanctuary of Silence in the Worldly Realms

As my practice deepened, I recently held an intense inner manifestation: I asked my spiritual guides and my grandfather for a physical-world confirmation. I wanted to go deeper into meditation to understand the truest, most profound meaning of spirituality—far beyond just the physical postures or modern concepts of yoga.

In perfect alignment, my path opened effortlessly. I was guided to immerse myself in a profound 7-day experience filled with intense group meditations, sacred Kirtan chanting, uplifting Satsanga sessions, and deep lecture classes covering advanced spirituality and meditation techniques.

I stepped into that space with an absolute purity of intention: to sit in the stillness, absorb the harmonious vibrations, and listen. I kept my public work and my ancestral background completely private, sitting simply as a soul among souls. Yet, the path felt entirely natural and familiar. Why? Because the core of what we were practising in those silent sessions was identical to the ancient wisdom of my ancestors.

The Spiritual Similarities: Kejawen vs. Guru Ji Paramahansa Yogananda

Kejawen and Yogananda — Indonesian Shadow Puppets

When I sat in that sacred space, listening to the timeless truths of the great Eastern yoga masters, my soul instantly recognised the frequency. The names and cultural blankets were different, but the eternal truth was the same. As the great contemporary teacher Eckhart Tolle beautifully teaches, all true spirituality meets in the absolute stillness of the present moment. In that silence, there are no divisions.

To help show how these two worlds merge into one eternal stream, here is how the ancient wisdom of my ancestors mirrors the timeless yoga teachings of Guru Ji Paramahansa Yogananda:

Core Spiritual Concept Kejawen (Javanese Mysticism) Yogananda (Yoga Philosophy) The Shared Eternal Truth
The Ultimate Goal Manunggaling Kawula Gusti (The union of the servant/human with the Master/God) Self-Realization / Samadhi (The union of the individual soul with Cosmic Consciousness) The ultimate purpose of life is to dissolve the ego and realise that your inner spirit is completely one with the Divine Creator.
The Soul's Origin & Destiny Sangkan Paraning Dumadi (Knowing where creation comes from and where it returns) Evolution of the Soul (The journey of the soul emanating from God and returning to God) We are not earthly beings trying to be spiritual; we are divine sparks that came from the Infinite Source and are destined to return there.
The Method of Practice Semedi / Tapa (Silent inward contemplation, mastering the desires, and deep meditation) Raja Yoga / Meditation (Quieting the body, breath, and mind to look into the "Spiritual Eye") True knowledge does not come from intellectual reading; it comes from absolute physical stillness and diving into the deep inner silence of the heart.
The Inner Focus Ngelmu Batin (The science of the inner, invisible spiritual reality) Intuition / Direct Perception (Experiencing God as peace, love, and bliss within, rather than through external rituals) Religion is external, but spirituality is internal. Both paths teach you to ignore outer dogmatic rituals and look into the "temple of silence" within yourself.
Living in the World Memayu Hayuning Bawana (Beautifying, preserving, and bringing harmony to the universe) Dharma / Right Action (Living in harmony with cosmic law and uplifting humanity) A true spiritual person does not run away from the world. My beloved late grandfather had ancient spiritual wisdom, esoteric mystical heritage and used their inner peace to heal, uplift, and bring balance to the people around them.

The Sacred Mirror of the Soul Tribe: We are not seekers, we're finders and manifesters

The Sacred Mirror of the Soul Tribe

This beautiful week brought a breathtaking, golden clarity to my soul, showing me that my eight-year manifestation had fully come to fruition. I have the deepest respect for formal spiritual organisations and the structured, sacred training paths they offer to seekers worldwide. However, the universe gently revealed to me that my personal calling follows the open, universal path laid out by my ancestors.

The ultimate confirmation of this journey had already unfolded in the most beautiful, sacred testament to Divine Timing: eighty devotees were brought directly to my doorstep. They are my spiritual brothers and sisters, my kindred spirits, and my true soul tribe. Seeing them arrive was a powerful mirror of the internal light and peace I have been cultivating for nearly a decade, proving that when the heart is ready, the Divine effortlessly brings your spiritual family right to you.

An Open Fountain of Healing

An Open Fountain of Healing

Being a catalyst for others is not something I ever planned or asked for; it is simply what happens naturally with the people I meet on this path. True spirituality is an open fountain of healing, meant to be shared freely and widely with a hurting world.

At Eda Spiritual & Wellness®, my focus is simply to act as a facilitator—to help spark the divine flame that is already sitting dormant inside of you, handing you the keys so you can open your own inner sanctuary and stand in your own divine authority.

Bringing the Stillness into Your Life: 3 Sacred Practice Tips

Bringing the Stillness into Your Life

To help you anchor this peaceful energy in your own home today, I invite you to practice these three simple, universal steps:

1 — Embrace Your Daily Semedi (Silent Watching): Commit to sitting in absolute physical stillness for just 10 to 15 minutes a day. Do not fight your thoughts or try to force your mind to be blank. Simply watch your thoughts pass by like clouds in the sky, anchoring your awareness fully in the present moment.

2 — Lead Your Life by Silent Example: Remember that your vibration is your greatest teaching. You do not need to constantly preach spirituality to change the world. Focus on cultivating an inner reservoir of peace so deep that people can simply feel the healing energy when they stand in your presence.

3 — Trust the Flow of Divine Timing: When you clear away the noise of the worldly realms and cry out sincerely for alignment, stop chasing the answers. Rest. The universe knows your heart, and it will effortlessly bring the exact people, confirmations, and opportunities you need right to your doorstep when the time is perfect.

Thank you for stepping into this sacred space with me today. Let us keep the fountain open, let us keep our intentions pure, and let us work together to bring harmony, beauty, and healing to this universe.
